About MJ

Maggie Jerde Joyce has more than 15 About 2 years experience working with New York’s and London’s premier design firms before opening her own in 2009 on the South Shore of Boston.

We do not believe that our client’s home should look like a “Maggie Jerde Design” house, but the perfectly edited home that reflects our clients design sensibility and life.  We are just there to guide and inspire you.  MJD  produces beautifully detailed, yet comfortable and personalized spaces

WHAT YOU ALSO MIGHT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ME (MAGGIE JERDE)

      • I will never give you a paint color over the phone. Color change in every space and just because it is right in one (aka your best friend’s dining room) space doesn’t mean it will work in another.
      • I will always tell you what I think.  If I feel that you are making a mistake I will tell you
      • I am always open for a compromise
      • I have 2 sons and I work out of my house.
      • I have lived in Los Angeles, Alexandria, VA, Hartford CT, London, New York, and now Norwell, MA.
      • I have worked for many amazing designers.  Each and everyone of them have learned so much from and have loved working for  Jed Johnson, Mary Douglas Drysdale , Bruce Bierman, William Sofield, & David Collins
      • I am very honest.  I will never charge you for time that I don’t think is fair.
      • I will always look out for my clients best interest
      • I treat the vendors I work with fairly and understand that we are all a team.  I insist my clients treat them fairly and with respect.
      • I am dyslexic and can’t spell if my life depended on it
      • My house still has ugly light fixtures in it
      • I spend my evenings and weekends with my family.  I try and not work during those times and give all my attention to them, as I give all my attention during the day to my clients.
      • I do not believe that texting is a useful way of communication with my clients, unless it is a quick question on scheduling or something that needs an immediate response.
      • I have never been afraid of a challenge
      • I was a painter in college, here is some of my work
      • What you see is what you get with me.  No phony business
